Go Green is an expressional phrase for supporting environmental issues to continue preserving natural resources. This would help to limit global warming (also known as climate change), which heats the atmosphere. This would melt the polar ice caps, which will result in a massive surge in sea level.
Trees have a vital role in the current situation. The tree population is decreasing with a high velocity. Humans cut down vast amounts of trees, just for the rapidly growing technological advancement. For this reason, trees are important to human development. Trees exist as a major producer of Oxygen(O2), and a major consumer of Carbon Dioxide(CO2). CO2 is a greenhouse gas, greenhouse gases emit heat. Also, greenhouse gases destruct the Ozone layer, which protects Earth from solar rays emitted by the sun, which results in more heat. This could result in the total collapse of the polar ice caps. As said, will result in massive surges in sea level. Trees are habitats for many diverse animal species. As a result, these animals are becoming endangered, and even extinct. This would end with catastrophic disaster to coastal cities such as New York, Mumbai, and Tokyo.
To add on, factories, technologies, and living beings release CO2 into the air, while taking in O2. With the decrease of trees, would come the decrease in O2. As a result, living beings may not be able to breathe properly in the close future.
But you can help! Try to donate to organisations that slow down climate change. Try to reuse, reduce, and recycle as much as you can! Volunteer to help prevent climate change, and there's so much more you can do to help! But please do help, your voice can make a big change in your community.
